Lurch - F-18 Hornet
Vball was in the initial stages of the flight but had control issues and had to disconnect.
Today, we departed the Gibraltar, (LXGB) flying south across the Straight of Gibraltar, to the northern coast of the African Continent and down the west coast.
Lurch was running out of fuel, so we had to make a B-line for the coast and landed at Rabat Sale Airport.(GMME) We fueled up, took off, did a vertical climb straight up, Split "S" and headed for Casablanca, about 50 miles away. We landed at Casablanca, Morocco (GMMN), a 200 mile trip.
Real world weather conditions were encountered. Weather was sunny until we got to Morocco. Then we encountered dense fog and had to stay below 1500 feet., The terrain in this region, looked like mountains and desert.
