Laser, Lurch and Vball continued the World Tour from Portland, Maine to Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada. However, we flew F-35 Lightnings with STOVL but did not keep an eye on fuel. Lurch was the first to run out of gas and ditched in the woodlands, 100 miles short of Bathurst. Laser and vball performed emergency STOVL landings at Little River Airport NB.

The Tour will be continued from Bathurst (CZBF)

Wow - great screenies. So, just to be clear, these are just flying machines right? You can't fight these?

Is it more than just following waypoints or can you do some real navigation etc in them?

In this particular instance they are only flying machines but if you purchase the "Tacpack" you have a fully functional aircraft ... drop bombs, AARAMS, Ground map radar, the whole nine yards..

The fully functional F-18E Superbug... http://www.vrsimulations.com/FA18EFSX.htm

Tackpack... http://www.vrsimulations.com/tacpack.htm

Couple of videos for ya.. There are several more if you want to research it.

I can't imagine it replaces BMS or DCS but it is interesting, especially the carrier operations.

I own Superbug and Tackpack, not sure if anyone else does. I really have figured it out, but would like to I just re-installed.

Hey Coolio,

Guess I just figured everybody who flies Flight Sims, is thoroughly familiar with MSFX. It has probably 10's of thousands of add-on aircraft of every type imaginable, (Jets, Props, Rotors, Rockets) most with clickable pits and all instruments. Anyone can build them. And ALL 10000 Airports, grass strips, etc in the world. So yes, you can practice all kinds of navigation.
Plus FSX uses the Space Shuttle Radar Data, so the terrain mesh is pretty much identical to real world. It doesn't have a combat campaign, but has mapped the entire planet and every aircraft that I know of. No other sim has that. It was standard issue to all Naval Aviators. May still be.
