Debrief 09/26/17: Invasion Of Iwo Jima

Mission: Iwo Jima Landings Mod IV

We flew the F4U-1C Corsair from the Carrier deck and attacked Iwo Jima. This mission had multiple AAA and as always, lots of enemy Fighters. We flew tight formation on Ingress and made one pass over the runway, destroying Zeroes that were about to take off.
We then ditched the Big Sallomies, went high into the clouds and headed for Serabachi. We took on one pair of zeroes at a time and destroyed all remaining enemy fighters. We then systematically wiped out all AAA sites.
After that, we destroyed almost all parked aircraft on the island. The night ended with perfect Traps by both aircraft. Great mission and very much note worthy.
