Azazel's Campaign 05/19/12

Post by Lurch » Sat May 19, 2012 11:14 pm

Azazel's Campaign: 05/19/2012; 11PM

The Package ran into numerous enemy aircraft. No A-G targets were reached. However, the package shot down 11 enemy aircraft. A wierd anomaly took place, where from the beginning Serpent 3-3 and 3-4 could not see each other in mission at all. At RTB all aircraft were low on fuel and 3-3 and 3-4 were unwittingly on final from opposite directions. Serpent 3-4 was waived off, but it cost him his fuel and subsequently his aircraft.

Yeah it was a wierd one. I never saw you at all in game. Very confusing. I'm sure my frat kills were something to do with this MP glitch as when I called them I had one MiG 29 and one MiG 23. Turns out they were F5s :-( Not good.

Also, I never saw you inbound on finals. Had I known I would have pulled off as I had loads of gas to play with.

Lesson learnt - call everyone you see on the comms list and make sure everyone sees everyone before committing.

That was the first time I've seen/heard that issue. Next time, we'll just back out and restart (save us the problems down the road). Overall good mission. I need to work on my leadership skills while flight lead some more. I should have given 3 and 4 their own VHF channel to work on that way I could have used the radio more with my wingman. Fun mission though. Overall, a successful failure :)

Not sure what the overall bandwidth available was but I had mine set to 300 for connection to the host.

Coolio, the "standard" so far is 128 for clients. that might have been the problem.

We have seen issues with textures or missing objects with 128, we are cx with 256 standard.

Guess it depends upon how the stars and moons align.

hmmmm, maybe we should try 256 next time. of course, it depends on the host bandwidth and # of pilots i guess.

I have it set to 300 also. Somone had said over TS that it was the new default.
