BMS 4.34 strike on chemical factory

Post by Eazy-E » Sun Jul 21, 2019 10:00 am

Here is a quick clip of our flight last night to bomb a chemical factory with GBU-39SDBs. The bombs worked quite well. I dropped 8 on 8 different targets from 40 miles away and they all hit. We lost three out of four aircraft though. Lurch, Bombdog, and myself were all shot down by enemy aircraft. Cyborg made it back safely though. Around the 2:15 mark in the video you can see a four ship of J-7s coming our way. I assumed I had enough time, speed, and altitude to drop bombs and then afterburner away from them. They must have been in burner themselves to chase me though. Anyways, learn from my mistakes.

Nice Video Eazy. I just noticed, apparently AWACS was defensive and calling Cyborg and Bombdog for assistance.

That engaged defensive call is actually me calling for help once I realized they were mig-21's and not Mig-19s as I had thought. With me out of amraams and bombdog with 2 left I should have called abort.

I thought you guys were way closer to the target than you were because I had my HSI zoomed out too far so I could see bullseye and everything looked closer than it actually was.
