Thanks to all in attendance for last night's mission. We still have some work to do on taxi and takeoff in a complicated airport environment. It is important to know the layout of your home airfield to avoid wrong turns or confusion.

Once we got rolling, however, the mission went smoothly. All flights ingressed to the target area and, crossing the FLOT, the OCA flights went NOE while the SEAD and CAP flights stayed high. There was a MiG-23 that was engaged by AI flights initially. SEAD flights were able to engage the Fan Song B radar associated with the SA-2 systems.

The OCA flights struck the targets with fairly good results, however one of our pilots, Froogle, suffered some damage to the flight control system apparently, either through debris or stressing. He was able to RTB safely without difficulty. The airfields appear to be inoperative again following our successful strike.

Our CAP flights scored two victories against MiG-21s (Mouse and Sobe each 1) and Mouse downed the Mig-23 as well. We did lose 1 AI SEAD plane to enemy fire, who was listed as MIA.

Overall, the actual mission went well. It's the briefing, WDP, and taxi that we need to work on. Hopefully we are all getting used to operating the WDP and we can speed that process up somewhat.

Thanks again, and we'll try to get some smaller package missions up for later this week.

It was a GREAT FLIGHT! As mentioned we still have somethings to workout but still FUN! :)
