OK Tigers, here is the AAR from our fist campaign with the War Hawks on Sunday May 12, 2013.

~S~ Greetings all,

Thanks goes out to everyone who was able to join us for our first combat mission in our KTO Campaign, Operation Rolling Fire. A really big thanks goes out to Laser for his help in getting our strike package organized and the campaign running smoothly.

We started in our briefing of the mission, which was for our first combat mission of the war. We are currently supporting the overall effort of achieving air superiority over the Korean peninsula. In order to accomplish this goal we first need to degrade the enemy air defense network in order to allow for further strikes in the north.

Our part in this included an OCA Strike on Taetan AF in Western North Korea. Taetan Airfield is home to the 139th Fighter Squadron, which is comprised of approximately 10 Mig-21MF/PFM. Taking this airfield out of the fight early was critical to suppressing their air assets.

Stud5 (Close Escort) was comprised of Mouse as Flight Leader with Sobe and an AI as his wingmen.
Snake5 (SEAD Escort) had Doc leading a pair of AI.
Serpent5 (Runway Denial) was led by Laser with Lurch as his wingman, both from the 16th ACCW.
Shark5 (AF radar and targets of opportunity) had myself as Flight Leader, with Froogle as my wingman and Spearhead as Element Lead and an AI.

Total Distance: Approx. 350 miles
Total Flight time: Approx. 1 hour

No losses due to enemy activity, but we did lose one jet to rapid impact with terrain. Given the nature of the dynamic campaign, we need to take care of our equipment since we have a limited supply of aircraft and munitions, including drop tanks.

Thanks all and I'm really looking forward to our next mission.
~S~
